Very large Batwing cicada (Cryptotympana Aquila). These lovely beauties hail from Thailand and parts of Malaysia... not Gotham.
2 inch x nearly 5 inch specimen.
Placement on the off-white, vintage, oval frame (9.75 inch x 12 inch) is to accent and balance the holographic butterfly and snake on the lower half of the frame's background. Apologies, the pictures here are not showing the shimmer of either background animal.
