Diaphanization. is a preservation process that includes a series of steps that render the flesh and soft tissue transparent, while staining bones vibrant colors. This process allows for osteological studies of specimens in their organic state (versus dissected) and has left the confines of science and medicinal use to become an art form in its own rite, allowing us all to learn more about our world and its inhabitants.
